Connecticut continues to attract buyers from New York—and they’re looking far beyond Fairfield County.
More NYC buyers are searching in places like Torrington, Hartford County, Waterbury, and New Britain because they can get significantly more home for their money than they can across the state line.
That extra demand means more competition, especially for first-time and entry-level buyers. It’s also one of the reasons Connecticut’s housing market has remained surprisingly strong while many other parts of the country have cooled.
Every market is different, but one thing is clear: Connecticut is still offering value that many out-of-state buyers can’t find elsewhere.
