A lot of CT homes still use oil, and buyers usually do one of two things: panic and walk away ignore it completely
The truth is, it depends — on the system, the tank, and the maintenance.
Some oil systems are perfectly fine and run efficiently. Others can get expensive fast if they’ve been neglected (or if the tank is old and questionable). That’s why oil heat can be either: a deal breaker or a negotiating advantage …depending on how you approach it.
